Test Results
How do I receive the results of my recent investigations?
(ie blood test, ultrasound, Xray)
My investigation was requested by my GP Surgery: You can do either,
Look on the
NHS App
via ‘GP Health Records’ and then ‘Test results’
If you are not able to see results of tests you have recently had done, then please contact the surgery & ask that you have access to this.
Please be aware that you may see the results before your clinician has. This may take up to a week. Please wait to view the clinicians’ comments before contacting the surgery.
If you do not have access to the NHS App, then please contact the surgery for your results 7 working days after your test and after 3pm Mon-Friday (Please be aware, some test results take longer to obtain)
My investigation was requested by someone other than my GP Surgery (ie hospital Doctor)
You may be able to see your results via the
NHS App
(as above)
My medical records – If you have been seen by University Hospital Southampton, some of you may have registered for online access with my medical records where you should be able to see your latest results.
If you want feedback on the results or you do not have access to my medical records, then you need to liaise with the team who requested your investigation ie the hospital Doctor.
If your investigation was requested by another organisation other than UHS (ie musculoskeletal team) and you would like to obtain the results and/or obtain feedback, then you need to contact the team/person who requested your tests.
